How It Works
Getting started is easy. Contact Julie by phone, email, or through the online contact form to discuss your dog, your walking needs, schedule, and what you're looking for in a dog walker. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, learn more about the service, and determine whether Moving Paws is the right fit for you and your dog.
Every great walk starts with a proper introduction. Before services begin, we'll schedule a mandatory Meet & Greet so you, your dog, and Julie can get to know one another, go over your dog's routine and any special instructions, answer questions, and make sure everyone feels comfortable moving forward.
Once you're ready to get started, you'll receive an invitation to join Scout for Pets. From there, you'll complete your client profile, review and sign any required service agreements, securely add your payment information, and submit requests for dog walking services.
Book one-time or recurring walks that fit your schedule. Your preferred walk length, your dog's routine, and any important notes will all be kept on file to help ensure every visit is consistent and meets your expectations.
On the day of your scheduled walk, Julie will arrive, safely pick up your dog, and head out for a private, on-leash walk based on their routine, pace, and exercise needs. Once the walk is complete, your dog will be returned home safely, and you'll be able to review your visit details through the Scout for Pets app.
The dog walker agrees to preform services with reasonable care, skill and judgement, however the client acknowledges and accepts the following:
- Provide a private an on-leash dog(s) walks for agreed scheduled time
- Door to door service
- Each walk is tailored to your dog(s) energy, pace and routine
- Take highest level of care in protecting the client's dog(s)
- Take proactive action to ensure the clients dog(s) are walked in a safe environment
- Will follow dog owner instructions
- Pick up any waste
- The dog walker may suspend or terminate services if the conditions are unsafe or if the dog poses a risk to the dog walker or others
- All personal information will be kept confidential
- Provide instructions on how to enter the home at the agreed time via lockbox, door code or hidden key
- Provide all gear necessary for the walk, all gear must be safe, properly fitted and in good working order; collar, leash, harness, boots, coat, travel water bottle and bags
- Please supply any treats or food needed
- Inform the dog walker of any changes to the dog's routine, diet, health conditions, medication or behavior in writing
- Disclose any history of aggressive behavior, anxiety, or issues around other animals or people
- Keep the property and environment safe for both the dog(s) and dog walker
- Please leave any instructions to assist with the walk
- Each additional dog will be charged $10 max of 3 dogs per walk.
- Dog walks scheduled outside of working hours, and all statuary holidays will be charged an additional fee of $10 above the standard walking rates.
- All walks will be paid in full after each walk is completed.
